Pink and brown, pink and brown, pink and brown WHEN DOES IT STOP?

Hello everyone, quick update here.

Had an appointment with Dr. Shawhatever yesterday. Tiff is doing fine. Tiffany ended up taking the approach to the glucose test results that no news = good news. Well, come to find out, the lab never even sent over the results and no one from the office ever bothered to check. So, even if it had come back high, no one would have even known. Unbelievable. But she's fine and doesn't have the gestational diabetes.

We did a lot more updating on our registries at Target and Babies R Us. We still probably haven't registered for everything we need, but we're getting there.

We started on the nursery. The first order of business was getting the dogs' crates out of there, so we had to put them in our room. In order to do that, we had to completely rearrange our room, so we spent most of the day Saturday doing that. Sunday we worked on the den a little bit, but it's still not done. I have found a home for the futon, but I still need to get rid of the desk we have. Anyone want it? My mom says the crib is in, so this weekend hopefully we will probably go get that and use her truck to get rid of the other stuff.

Hope everyone out there is doing well.

Update.

Hello everyone and sorry it's been so long between posts. Tiffany and I have been pretty crazy busy. Things are moving so quickly and slowly at the same time. As most of you who read this know, there have been some pretty crazy things going on. So basically we're just trying to stay calm and focus on getting things ready for Gemma when she gets here.

We had our first childbirth class last night. Tiff and I both did not want to go, but it wasn't as bad as we thought it was going to be. It was kind of a brief overview of the whole thing. We watched a video that was, from what everyone was saying, much like the "Baby Story" things on TLC. I started to freak out internally as I was watching the whole thing and got really nervous. I'm not really sure why.

Tiffany had a gestational diabetes test last Monday and the *try to be nice, Ryan* wonderful staff at the doctor's office still hasn't gotten back to her with the results, after they said they would have it on Tuesday. LAST Tuesday. As in 9 days ago. Tiffany called them that day and they said they were busy and wouldn't have it until the next day (which was LAST Wednesday) and they would call her. No call. Thursday comes. No call. Friday comes. No call. Office closed Saturday and Sunday. Monday comes. No call. Tuesday comes. No call. Wednesday comes. No call. Today comes, and unless she has just forgotten to tell me, no call so far. In fact I'm in the middle of texting her to find out and if not I'm going to make her call them today and not only ask what the results are, but also why in God's name they never called us. If she doesn't call, I'm going to. Neither she nor they want that to happen.

On a lighter note, we should have our travel system delivered today. That's a huge weight off of Tiff's shoulders because she was worried that since we did a pre-order type deal online that they were just going to take our money and we would never get it. Also, my wonderful mother bought our crib online Tuesday night. Not sure when we should have that, but that means that this weekend we absolutely no-choice HAVE to clean out the den/nursery. It's a nightmare. The crib is being delivered to my mom's house, so (she doesn't know this and probably won't until she reads this) I think when she brings us the crib on her truck, we'll go ahead and use her truck to get rid of the futon and the desk. Anyone need either of these? We're not sure what we're going to do with them.

In baby shower news, the *TENTATIVE* date is August 1st. Invitations should be going out within the next week or so provided we actually get the addresses together for my mom and Stefanie. It will be a co-ed shower (if I have to be there, other guys do too), but if you can't come or just really don't want to, don't feel obligated, especially the out-of-towners. We're going to do another party type deal after Gemma gets here specifically for people who couldn't make it to the shower/out-of-towners. By the way, we are registered at Babies R Us and Target, but both registries need some updating pretty badly. So we'll get to doing that soon. We're trying to do the price-shopping for you, so we register the things at the places where they're going to be the cheapest.

This is probably too long and I doubt a lot of you are actually reading this far, so I'll end it here. Love you all. Gemma Rose Countdown is at 78 days.

HOLY CRAP.

Name Game

Actually, no more games or jokes:

In other news, I (Ryan) will be going to camp next week and will most likely post updates about that on my blog: http://xenorye.blogspot.com

TGIF

Hello everyone. Things are going pretty well in R&T+1 land. Tiffany has an appointment Monday, so we should find out if there's anything new with our due date since the ultrasound was done. We'll also be going over the ultrasound itself, so that should be exciting.

I never really updated more than "it's a girl," so about the ultrasound pics... they were pretty cool. The whole ultrasound thing still freaks me out a little bit. Not as bad as the 3D ones, which we may end up getting later, but still... Anywho, I loved the profile shots they got, and I love the one of little [insert name here]'s foot. By the way, for those that have asked, the ultrasound tech saw girl parts, not just the lack of boy parts, to determine it was a girl. Or, at least, she saw three little white lines that are supposed to be girl parts... who knows what that's about...

I know that the comments are messed up yet again and I may have to make the site ugly to get them to work, but I'm working on it. Thanks for everyone's support and unwanted advice. (Just kidding...) Oh, we've made our first big purchase. There was a deal on these travel systems that included a free ($80) car seat base, so we jumped on it. It's actually different colors of the same one that Randy and Lindsey have. Here is a picture:

Anyways, hope this update finds everyone well. Sorry again about the comments, keep trying!
